The life of Teddy Roosevelt (1858–1919) was one of constant activity, immense energy, and enduring accomplishments. As the twenty-sixth President of the United States, Roosevelt, known as the wielder of the Big Stick, helped build the Panama Canal. He was also an avid conservationist. Fittingly, this second floor room looks out over the Mendocino Headlands, a protected park surrounding the Village where recreational opportunities abound. Both the ocean and the river are visible out the south-facing windows. After a day of hiking, biking or kayaking, be sure to spend some time in the comfortable rocker in front of the gas fireplace before retiring to the restful Queen bed. The room features original hardwood floors and a beautiful antique bed.

All rooms at the Mendocino Village Inn include a gourmet breakfast served at the MacCallum House from 8:00 - 10:30 am Monday - Friday and 8:00 am - Noon Saturday, Sunday & Holidays. Also included: Food & Wine On The House - For each room two $7 dining credits are available every evening in the Grey Whale Bar & Café or the Dining Room on the Main Property.
